There are micro transactions, but from what I gather they just fast track you towards getting more powerful party members and speeding up the battles. If you are still commuting to the office or don’t have a handheld gaming device to get your RPG itch then this is a great alternative. Grinding is a staple in the Dragon Quest series, but it doesn’t feel like a chore here. Smooth gameplay and a wealth of side missions, timed events and leveling mechanics keep me coming back for more.
